On September 5th, 2024, Live Kolibri made its highly anticipated debut at New York Fashion Week, showcasing our vibrant men's swimwear collection at the iconic Sony Hall. Produced by Alex Vidger in collaboration with Runway 7, the show was a high-energy celebration of color, fun, and sustainability.
We kicked things off with a bang—literally. In an unforgettable moment, our runway show opened with a backflip, marking the first time in Runway 7 history that such an energetic stunt launched a fashion show. This set the tone for what would be a dynamic and engaging presentation that embodied everything Live Kolibri stands for: excitement, upbeat energy, and crowd interaction. Our models, with their joyful smiles and lively presence, brought the crowd to life, embodying the carefree, positive vibe that’s at the core of our brand.
Unveiling Three New Patterns
During our NYFW debut, we were thrilled to unveil three new vibrant patterns in our swimwear collection: La Tortuga, El Capitan, and El Colibrí. Each design represents the essence of what Live Kolibri is all about—playful, bold, and ready for adventure. As models strutted down the runway in these eye-catching patterns, it was clear that we were here to bring excitement and joy to the world of men's resort wear.
The Heart of Live Kolibri: Sustainability and Marine Life Conservation
While our show was all about having fun and creating a positive atmosphere, Live Kolibri stands for something much deeper. Our core mission is to promote sustainability and help protect marine life for future generations. All of our swim shorts are crafted from recycled plastics collected from our oceans. We're immensely proud of this commitment and the positive impact we aim to make on marine ecosystems.
Our debut at NYFW was not just a celebration of fashion, but also a significant milestone for our brand as we continue to advocate for a cleaner and healthier planet. Being part of such a prestigious event allowed us to amplify our message and connect with people who share our passion for sustainability.
